The public being desirous of seeing the piece that was stuck
up at the door of the Town-House, for which a proclamation
has been issued . . . [2 lines] ". . . we are told (said the
paper) was taken verbatim from a play called Venice
Preserved,  and that Mr. Otway was actually the author of
it,"   We shall insert a copy of that that was posted up,
and also the lines from Otway, whereby our readers may judge
for themselves. 
To see the sufferings of my fellow-townsmen, and own my self
a man: to see the Court cheat the injured people with a shew
of justice, which we ne'er can taste of; . . . [7 lines]
